sputte at high rpm

    Been having this problem sense i changed my head gasket. double, and tripple checked timing. carbs were cleaned and synced before the head came off. what could be the problem. do i need to resync the carbs or could it be a fuel mixture problem. oh, btw i put new plugs in it and they turned a nice brown color. pease help, and thx in advance for your advice.

    we need to know more. Are you using an Air Box or Pods, stock jetting, stock exhaust, what RPM does it sput, what model spark plugs are in there, & did you change the spark plug boots? not hard to answer but Important. let us know bud

    try running without an air filtration and see what happens.

    i have bad piston rings. mine also did the same thing. without the air filter it goes much higher without all the sputtering.

    sorry guys. i looked at the plugs under better light and two and three were way too lightly colored. richened them up and the bike runs better. thanks for the help thoe.......
