    Hi all,
The standard exhaust which has been on my XJ 900 F since forever is showing serious signs of wear and tear. It's rusted almost everywhere, and I'm not sure it can be saved. I'm lucky to be working in a cnc shop, and next door to some dedicated welders. I'd like to fabricate a stainless exhaust, most likely 316 ( since I ride all year round, next to the sea) and keeping as close to the original as possible. I think it will be possible to keep the mufflers, with some minor "cut and weld" jobs.
Have you attempted anything similar, are there some specific areas of concern?
