    LOL! Stainless Steel tires.

Sorry, I thought this was a parody thread.

you can't even see the filter on these bikes unless you've got the spin on adapter.

You could polish the stock Aluminum cover.

If you have the spin on adapter you can paint them any color you like.

I think it's be a waste to stainless and expensive to make filters out if it since it's just getting junked anyway.

If you get the spin on filter kit (from Chacal is best), you can get the chromed K&N spin on filters for not much more $$ than the standard painted ones.

He'll be along in a minute to fill you in. It's THE way to go IMO.

Imm taking a long trip on the bike where filters arent available. so a SS would be great to clean on the go. plus they filter and flow much better than paper.

Call me silly, but I wasn't aware these things existed. The More You Know.

Anyway, I did a quick side-by-side comparison between the site you listed and a Fram Oil Filter application guide, and I'm sad to say that none of the road bike filters listed on that page seem to match up to a Fram CH6003 filter.

I wonder how much more than $139 THAT would be ??

The Fram is available for $4.50 at auto parts stores- - you could always BRING a filter with you.

If you need to change your oil on a long road trip you could pack a extra oil filter or two. I would think oil would be availabel anywhere. You cold also ship oil and filter to a designated oil changing spot.

I have a question. How many miles, under normal cruising riding conditions, should go between oil changes? Thanks guys.

I change my oil and filter every 2k miles. Middle and final drive oil every 2 years.

    That's a bit OTT..

The book says the service interval for oil is 6k miles and 12k miles for the filter. More often than that and you're wasting oil..
