I have 2 wheels that I believe came off an XJ. They have 5 curved 'spokes', front has a single sided 11 3/4" rotor, .271" thick.

The rims are stamped as follows

    Front: J 19XMT1.85X DOT
    MT 1.85X19
    F-07

    Rear: J 16XMT3.00 DOT
    MT 3.00X16
    R-10

Spline & cush drive are attached to the rear.

Is there a way to determine what bike/bikes they will fit from this info?

The "swirly" spokes swirl toward the rear, so which side is the rotor on?

If they've got splines in the rear, then it would have been a shaft-driven bike. So I'm guessing either 650 or 750 Maxim, but I thought the 750 had dual discs.

Actually "stamped" or do you mean raised cast-on lettering?

The rotor is on the left side, sitting on the bike.

Yeah, definitely shaftdrive, 29 'tooth' spline.

    Oops....stamped isn't the correct term....raised or embossed.

Single disc on left side would make those 650 maxim wheels, but the drive hub would be bolted to the rear wheel. The cush drive was used only on the 550 models.

Perhaps a pic might help in the identification.

The drive hub IS bolted to the wheel, I assumed all shaft drives were cush mounted.

I've tried posting pics but haven't gotten it right yet, I'll work on that.

    Thanks guys for the info.

Those are deffiantely 650 maxim wheels.
Now to answer the other half of your question.

    Front wheel:
4H7-25168-29-98 Yamaha CAST WHEEL, FRONT (1.85-19) | LOW GLOSS BLK

    Used on the folowing bikes

    XS400J/K - 1982 - 1983
    Maxim XJ550H - 1981
    Maxim XJ650G/H/J/K - 1980 - 1983
    Maxim XJ750J/K - 1982 - 1983
    Seca XJ750RH/RJ/RK - 1981 - 1983
    VIRAGO 750 - XV750H/J/K - 1981 - 1983
    VIRAGO XV920J/K - 1982 - 1983
    VIRAGO XV920RH - 1981

The plastic cover on the right side of the front hub is removable to attach a disc for the dual disc setup.

    Rear Wheel:
4H7-25338-29-98 Yamaha CAST WHEEL, REAR (3.00-16) (4H7-25338-20-98) | LOW GLOSS BLK

    Used on the folowing bikes

    Maxim XJ650G/H/J/K - 1980 - 1983
    VIRAGO 750 - XV750H/J/K - 1981 - 1983

These rear wheels use a different (smaller?) brake plate than the 750 Maxim/Seca wheels

Thanks Ghost!! I sure can't ask for any better response than that! Think I'll check them for run-out, clean them up and see if anybody needs them.

That's interesting about the plastic cover on the front....mama yama and her parts bin bikes!

The PO told me they would fit the 700X, which was obviously incorrect, think he just wanted them out of his garage so....I dragged them on home.
