Several years ago I had the opportunity to buy a used XJ750 Maxium. My son was just learning to ride his new crotch rocket and being that I sold my bikes when he was born I thought why not it was only $500.00. Well Life always get in the way and besides a few miles to and from the inspection station I never really did much with it. Just moved south and finally found time to start look at the things that were driving me crazy. First I just had to get rid of that dang BATT light on the dash and not willing to spring for a very expensive battery I did some searching and that's how I found this site. So I ordered the Sensor By Pass HCP9982 Wire and with some help from this site was able to trouble shoot my signal cancelation relay, my horns and clean up my carbs. (well still working that one). Now its running great and all the bells and whistles are working just fine.
I can't believe all the detail one can find on this site. Great Job XJBikes

Well done. You could also have just taken the bulb out of the BATT light on the dash.
