So I was putting the XJ900 back together (1983) and went to kick it over and nothing. A quick bit of analysis and I realised I didn't have a lead from the solenoid to the starter, so there was no chance she was going to be able to start.

The problem is, we've moved since I pulled her apart and it looks like the lead didn't make the move. I can't see anything for sale online either (unless I order from the other side of the world).

    So

    1) Any advice on where I can chase something down (I'm in Aussie) and does it have to be XJ900 or even Yamaha specific?
    2) Can someone post a picture of how it connects to the solenoid and routes around the battery?

    Thanks gang.

Any heavy wire from the solenoid to the batter post will work.....

if your having trouble finding wire with connectors that big, think lawn mower/tractor repair places

Thank you both. I had figured that was the case but wanted to rely on better minds than my own.

I’ll confirm I’m all good in the next couple of days.
