    Part number is: 4H7-81800-50 and fits:

    XJ650 1980 to 1984
    XJ750 (Maxim) 82-83
    XJ750R (Seca) 81-82
    XJ700N and XJ700NC 1985

    I bought a starter based on this part number and it doesn't fit my bike. No blame, of course. I should have researched further before our purchasing. I just wanted to let you know that it doesn't work for the '82 650s.
