Ok, how do I get my bike to start and idle like new?
It starts every time, no questions asked. On a cold start it starts instantly, but I constantly have to maintain the idle through either choke or throttle. Once it warms up, the idle is dead on at 1050rpm+/- 75rpm. Also, once warm, the bike cranks for about 5 seconds then starts.

I'm also slowly getting one or more sticking floats leading to a hanging idle around 2750rpm.

Can I assume that a carb tear-down and clean will remedy all this? I personally have never done it, and the bike has 32000 miles on it, and the last 7000 were mine.
