Starting issue.

    I have a 82 XJ750 max. I currently started to get it ready for the spring weather. I went to start it and all i get is the click of death. the bike will start when I use a screw driver to connect the solenoid, the battery is good and charged. I don't want to replace the solenoid if i do not have to. Any ideas?

    Make sure all your connections are clean. Corroded connections add resistance.
