    If anyone has input:
I used a lot of discussions to help learn how to adjust my steering head. I read lots of posts about how to recognize the symptoms of too loose, and also used Rick's explanations of how to tighten properly.

Got new tapered bearings with about 300 miles on them. Needed to adjust, and also had a 'knock' in the fork - which was easily removed with tightening.

Question is, are there specific symptoms of too tight? SPECIFICALLY while riding? (Did the side-to-side test while adjusting)

    Thanks!

Thanks hf! That was my first thought, as I was riding round and round in a small circle while trying to get to work ;)

But then I thought maybe it was my subconscious resistance to the strait line between home and cubicle
