glue a tooth pick or tube from carb cleaner on to whats left . needle has a brass bushing in it which sometimes pulls out of needle when trying to remove it. pulling it can ruin the speedo

if you swap speedos you can roll the dials to match your mileage

I wanted to swap faces on a speedo a few years ago and ended up with a broken useless speedo after attempting to pull the needle off. I'm not ham fisted nor was anything forced but due to the way it was initially assembled there was no chance I was going to get it right. I'm not familiar with that exact one but if the needle is pressed onto a knurled shaft like mine was, I don't see any way to get it back on properly. I obtained a good replacement and then set the mileage to match. Pretty easy to do and you can clean up and lube the gears once apart. The methods previously described work too if you're not looking to have it perfect.

If you remove 2 screws on the face plate put 2 screw drivers under plate and gently pry up. Needle should pop off shaft without bending shaft if your careful.
