My question is since the #3 carb is factory set. Can or should you remove the pilot mixture screw? I'm getting a list ready for Chacal and thought I saw a set of 4 pilot mixture screws. Also, Shouldn't the emulsion tube slide right out after removing the jet? Thx.

They're all factory set. They need to be removed for cleaning. Factory setting probably isn't the best setting after 30 years anyhow.

The #3 carb "is factory set" in the sense that you can't move adjust the throttle or butterfly on that carb while synching (not without turning the idle adjustment knob which adjusts all 4 at once). But the #3 carb still needs the idle mixture screw adjusted just like the other 3 carbs.

The emulsion tube likes to stick in there a bit - I usually take a small punch (flat end that won't buger up the threads) and tap on it a little - I haven't really ever had to tap too hard usually. I did have one set of carbs that was so gunked up that those wouldn't move so I soaked the whole carb in carb cleaner for a few hours and then they came right out - just be aware that if you do that, you'll definitely be replacing any rubber parts in the carb itself.

Thanks very much for the input. Now I will have to screw extract that mixture screw too. Thanks wiley, I'll see if I can lightly tap them out.
