So, I got some new shocks for the rattlecan-black Seca 550. Put the right one on fine, pulled the left one... Sunuva...

I didn't realize I parked with the kickstand on a bump in the asphalt. My driveway isn't exactly even. The bike fell over. I'm out a turn signal and a brake lever.

So, this may be time to replace the boxcars. What does the collective unconscious think looks good on a Seca?

Personally, I like to stay original. So, I'd look for the correct lights. That being said, if you're blacking things out and you want to go to something different, you can put on whatever you want. Here are some that will work:

rectangular black ones from an xj750 seca(also used on the xz550 vision)
round black ones from a midnight maxim
smaller black tapered ones (seca II, radian, etc....)
any of the round ones from any other 550/650/750 maxim (just paint them)

I might have a pair of the tapered ones floating around yet......give me a 'conversation' and I'll take a look for you----

Well, the Seca was ratllecanned by a previous owner long ago, so it's not a goal for me. It's no museum piece, so I'm not after authenticity.

I like the idea of the smaller tapers. Didn't think of that.

I went with an led tail light with integrated blinkers for the rear. I ended up using a pair of mini universal non-led blinkers for the front I picked up at the local shop for like $10. Because I had led and non led on the same circuit, I had to use a special "electronic" flasher unit. But there are several ways to do this you can research with the search function.

Honestly, I think the sky is the limit if you google mini, nano, micro etc along with "motorcycle blinkers" and you'll find limitless options. It all depends on how much you want to spend, how much time you want to put in it and how comfortable you are with wiring etc. otherwise it's just a style thing which is really your choice.

A while back, I smashed my tail light on my cb450 and ended up getting an aftermarket tail light from dimecity cycles.... Google them and look at their options too... Anyway, my new taillight is smaller than my stock blinkers. Yeah it looks wonky at the moment, but I don't really care since the majority of my time at the moment is spent on my XJ.

Lastly, I've got several stock XJ Seca blinkers you can have...I'll even ship to you for free if you want. Run that until you know what you want. It's better than buying something then buying something else because you were too quick in your decision solve the immediate problem.

    Just my $.02

My advice would be to avoid LED's and go real bulb. You can still get small slimline ones.

    I used these:

    http://www.dimecitycycles.com/vinta...ini-oval-turn-signals-blinkers-25-8350sm.html

I like them because they are pretty dark lenses when not on but they flash like normal - at least they seam bright to me. Gives my bike the look I wanted with no colored plastic but has a nice bright orange flash when on. I think it help too that the lenses are dark because it's not an orange piece of plastic that getting brighter, it's a totally different color, almost an on/off effect so it's more noticeable especially in the daytime. So what-do-you-know, I did something that makes me safer for a change ;).

You still most likely will need to replace the relay even without LED's depending on what level of resistance the bulbs give. I had to.

I have some spares you can come pull from a parts bike xj750. Just up the road from you, nearly. Without checking, not sure if the plastics are good -- but they should be on there.

I have the small round blinkers from dimecitycycles.com, I think they look decent. Not exactly cheap but they are pretty bright so ultimately I am happy with them.

They also have smoked lenses of the same ones that I have...

How did you mount those on the front?
