Suicide shift on a XJ700??

    Has anyone ever modified their XJ700 to have a suicide shift (ie: left foot clutch and left hand gear shifter) I would like to know how you've routed the shifter arm.

    I've never seen it done but I'd love to do it to mine. I'd imagine you'd run it from the standard shifter to a relay on the frame and then straight up to the side of the tank. But that would only get you an imitation suicide clutch since the actual gears wouldn't be there. Just a "click" like the original shifter.

    If you do it post some pictures. I may steal your ideas and do it to mine. :D

    a member here named AlbuquerqueChoppers had his done but with clutch on the suicide shifter bike was orange but he has re done it all black back to standard shift you should find some topics on here and see the bike
