Hello, trying to take the motor out of my 81. It is free in the frame but was wondering how to disconnect the drive shaft? There are bolts under the boot? Do I disconnect those or somewhere else? Thanks

Hey RedRobin, just a heads up to put the year and model of your bike in your signature so that people immediately know what bike you have and can better answer your questions. As far as your question, I couldn't help you if I knew what bike you had, lol, I'm a newb here too!

Yeh, 4 8mm bolts under the boot, you need to lock the rear wheel (I use a piece of wood through the spokes & against the swing arm, take all the bolts from the right side of the motor, lay the bike on it's right side, on some carpet or cardboard & lift the frame off the mill.

I made a hook to hold back the boot, helps a lot.
