    Hi all

I absolutely love this site, helped me a bunch with my -83 XJ 750 Seca.
Great ppl here, with loads of knowledge!

Thing is, i finally got fed up with not being able to trust my lovely xj in daily commute. It's old, and not very well kept (hit me over the head with a wrench, i know...).

I sold out for a -97 VF 750 C Magna, going custom was never in my mind, but boy can this baby run! Handles like a champ in the turns also :)
I love my new ride. Alas, to my diappointment, there is nowhere near the same drive in the Magna communities as there is here :-(

So, the XJ is idle in my father-in-law's driveway, and I'm considering selling it, so if anyone nearby is interested, please drop me a message. Chop anyone (I would actually hate that)?
What could I expect to get for her?

Then again, maybe I'll keep her for som god ole cafe'ing....Besides, my wife does not want to ride her (only the Magna), so a second bike can come in handy. If I only could get rid of the chirping bird in the airbox (or wherever it is) ;-)

    Hey guy!

I'm located in Oslo too, and would absolutely love to take a look at your ride. Looks pretty sweet by the pictures.
Mine's an XJ750 Seca 84, and she's known to be pretty demanding at times, but it's like a relationship... Give and take, you know ;D

well i know how much people hate to open new threads about the same subject so i'll just tag my 2c's onto this one. Adios bike and forum! Sold it off after i finally got everything fixed for a lousy $1100! other way nicer bikes around for 2K, one comparable for $1200. just had the forks seals replaced too. Had to pay bills. you know toys are second to things like obamacare insurance bills and TAX. so, i did get to ride it at least twice while it was in perfect running order. sux tho. but i brought back a bike from the dead, and i couldn't have done it without the help of this forum and chacal's parts here and there. my biggest regret is i'm not in the city of Oslo like the OP! The guy who bought it says he's putting a side car on it. well, good luck i told him, if you don't want it anymore i'll buy it back. yeah, like that will ever happen that i have another space $1100 laying around. and another hundie for tax and licensing. i spent 10x more time working on that thing than i did on it, so really, why do i feel bad about it? maybe that is the reason why. S it! life sux.

Bull - sorry to hear about your apparent fiscal issues forcing you to do whatever it takes to stay a float...

I can empathize deeply with employment/ insurance and not having $$$ all to well.
    Remember this my friend:
Life is not fair; fair is where you go to eat deep fried food on sticks and see farm animals.

    Best of luck to you.

Fair (grounds) is right next door to me, letting 4Hers drag their horses and whatever other "farm" animals past my house in horse trailers every day from mid-May thru the end of Sept. (Fair is in mid-August) i want to kill them. so i'm trying to move too. another aspect of why life blows.

Bull, I could write volumes about "why MY life blows" right now. We have made soooo many wrong turns in the last three years that when my wife ran into my table saw and destroyed one of the legs I actually started to laugh.... funnier still is she thought I would be mad, which under "normal" circumstances I would have. When it rains it pours, just pisses me off that this shitstorm that we are facing couldn't have happened when I was younger and more adaptable - currently work 12 hour shifts from 18:00 - 06:00, I haven't done that in 30 years, my Circadian rythmns are completely f'ed.

    Point is:
You have survived 100% of your worse days ever... don't stop now. This to shall pass.
