IMG_6526.jpeg Tearing down a junker engine. Found this little gem.

The giant glob of sealer over the crank end seal did f#%k all, but sealing the aluminum end cover stopped the oil from escaping. So I guess technically it stopped the oil leak (????)

I wonder if the bearing survived some mess.

The original crank end seal was still under there so the engine didn’t get plugged up with goo. The bearing shells themselves were not too bad.
