I took my first significant ride yesterday, only to have my motorcycle die after 13 miles. I'll post my problem on XJChat, but I did want to share with members that, unlike AAA, the roadside assistance insurance you can buy through Verizon (whom I use for my cell phone) WILL cover towing your motorcycle. I figured that's worth noting, as many of our older bikes are, shall we say... challenging.

Good thing they brought a flatbed. I'm a member of AMA as well as AAA and I keep both because I want AMA towing if my bike goes down.

I see... so AAA doesn't actually cover your motorcycle... i wasn't aware of that.

In Ohio you need to purchase additional "recreational vehicle" coverage to be covered by AAA. Forget the cost but it was cheaper than AMA membership or adding towing to insurance coverage.
