I have a route now when I gotta get some with my 82 Seca 650. About 4k of twisty, followed by about 6k of flat out 100-120k with bends in the road. Anyone else here have a route they ride when they just need a quick fix?

Got one here called Keetonville Road... It goes around the property of Garth Brooks. It's about 5-6 miles of nothing but corners, followed by a boring straight line, followed by a crazy but short jog uphill. It's my alternative to banging my head against the wall after a bad day at work :)

Unfortunately, it's currently closed -- the rains moved a huge chunk of dirt across the road. I'm patiently waiting for them to re-open it.

I wish, here in Edmonton theres nothing but straight roads until you get to the mountains some 300km west of here.

I like to take a ride out and through Zions National Park every couple of weekends. Takes the stress out and the scenery is beautiful.

I just leave the driveway and zip over to Concord and ride Revere's Ride and Battle Road.

The twists are lined with million dollar views and I stop-off at the Old North Bridge to entertain tourists with my knowledge of the fight, directions to Writers Hill where the early American Authors are planted ... and, to a nice Ice Cream Stand where other bikers pull-in to take a break.

When I get starved to ride HARD ... I zoom up 93 North and do a run of the famous Kancamangus Highway. A mountain pass road up North in New Hampshire through the Presidential Range.

Very challenging 35 Miles of sweeps and switchbacks!

Sweet. Gamuru and I did the Whidbey loop with the pnwriders group in Feb. We should do that again and hook up with you when we're in OH.
Sometimes my free time is limited, but when I just gotta get out for an hour or so, I enjoy the Camano Island Loop. Nice twisties and lots of lovely scenery to fixate on.
Have you checked out http://www.pnwriders.com/ yet?

Is that Vancouver, Wa, or Vancouver, BC? Just curious.

Yeah jdpesz I been over to PNW site and it's not concentrated to suite my purposes.... There is a whole lot of people posting nonsense that is not bike related like movie reviews etc... But there is always someone looking to ride so that is cool.. I just been trying to get my bike to where I can trust taking it out for long distances.. previous owner(s) really neglected it... I just plugged 2 nails that were in the rear tire just to give you an idea..
