Hey guys well the tank is rusting away ive got an oil leak out of my transmission shaft, i think i have come to the point where I am sick of working on it and it is sick of working. once it blows ill probably part it out.Its time for a new bike :( Ive been looking into the triumph speed triple (1050cc). has anyone had a chance to ride one? I rode a Harley xr1200 the other day and simply put it just doesn't work.
I'm going to Dallas in a few weeks and I'm gonna check it out, but until then, anyone have any pros or cons on the speed triple?
    thanks

Should really run over to RPM Cycles in forth worth Really nice show room and really nice people a friend of mine is the manager there... I love the triumphs and for a Sport bike if i was not using it for stunting i would have got a triumph... They are really clean good running bikes.. Do you like the looks of the naked bikes? Cause the triumph daytona is pretty kick ass also.

Save yourself some money and get a Daytona and take the fairings off :p Seriously that's what my boyfriend did and it doesn't look half bad. (Not because he wanted the triple but because his clear coat was coming off and he's never got around to fixing things)
I love all the Triumph bikes. But I really love my Seca

bummer about the xr1200 I really like the looks of the bike but I haven't even thought of trying one out. It isn't in the cards right now.
The Tri's R very nice bikes as well good luck with whatever you decide.

    My buddy has a '05-'06 955i.
He let me ride it the other day.
    WOW impressive.
It has balls from 500rpm to the redline.
He always told me he can start in 3rd no problem and keep up with me.
I thought he was blowing smoke.
    NO this is real.
Get rolling in first, punch it and the front wheel is heading skyward as the rear wheel brakes loose.
It wieghs 420lbs, hundred pounds less then my 650 and pushes out 147HP. :D
    Pretty comfortable riding position too.
If I could afford one I would have one.

I have 05 tigar and LOVE it. The speed tri is a great bike and probably the smoothest triple ever made. If you make the jump you will be happy. I still do love riding my XJ though. I think the Daytona is a version Speed Tri. I know in 06 when I bought my Tigar, it was advertised as the Daytona Speed Triple.
