    I've had my 81 Yamaha midnight maxim 650 for a long time but never really paid much attention to it but now i think it's time to bust it out of storage and build an awesome bike. and thought i'd make an account because i will be asking a lot of questions over time and will start a build page once i start on it this weekend. and have done a lot of reading and research with in the last week and got a pretty good idea of what i want going for the bobber look. i currently ride a 02 Yamaha R6. and drive a jeep Cherokee witch in the jeep world we call it and xj so i think it was fate that i have a Yamaha xj. and i like Yamaha a lot got a 01 Raptor 660 also. jeeps and Yamaha run in my blood. but i look forward to all the fun i will have on this forum in the future. well i gotta get some z's and i'll be back t/m with pics of deconstruction. to start u guys off here's where it's sitting and how it looks as of right now.

    i'm ganna go hard tail. i spent all day sat. pulling it out of the back room and tearing it down to nothing. ganna do a ground up on it even tho half of it don't need to be touched.
