I am looking for a new exhaust for my bike. I have a four into one right now. All I want to replace is the pipe. Does anyone know of a pipe that gives a nice throaty sound. I don't want that common rocket sound but i don't like straight pipes. Any recommendations would be great. I can get just about any pipe to fit so that wont be an issue. There has got to be a good one out there for under that 300-500 dollar mark.

If you want a different sound, you need different dimentions.
Before spending money, experiment with a longer, open pipe. (scraps)
It might be the sound you want, and you then go out and buy a piece of stainless, or aluminum. Plus, it's custom.

on my kawasaki I have a two brothers pipe.

it makes a nice "throaty" sound. not too loud either.

I don't know whether they have only complete systems or sell slip-ons too...

I popped out the end caps on my megaphone exhaust and it sounds great. Not too loud, nice and throaty.

Not sure if this is applicable to the 650, but maybe something you want to look into.
