When I turn right the throttle cable gets pushed or pulled which could turn into an problem when riding. Anyone know how to fix this? Stock cables.

After making sure the Cable is properly routed.
    > Including Control Placement and Angle.

    Loosen Cable Slack Adjustment Knurl
    Test for slack.
Anchor the Cable to the Frame with Textured Duct Tape or suitable alternative.

    Stock bike?

Definitely sounds like your cable is not routed correctly. Also be sure to lube the cable, if it's not lubed it could be binding and pulling.

    Lube and check route.

have the same issue right now. people i ask all have differing opinions. not sure what to do. want to just replace cables and stuff anyways but kind of waiting to see what i find out. seems like it could be very dangerous on the road in the wrong situation.

cable routing/binding will cause that. Also, if your cable itself is rusty inside the sheath, you can have internal binding even though the routing may be ok.

It all comes back to the cable.

well, sort of. i took off the tank and re-ran the cable with zip-ties to the frame in 2 places (it was totally free before) and it has helped quite a bit, but the sheath on the engine side is cracked open so while it works ok now, im sure i will have even better results with the new cable, yeah? would aftermarket cables be a better option, or just some old (used?) ones from ebay?

A new one is not that much more than what a used one would cost.

Get one from Len, I ordered one from d2moto when I ordered my speedo cable and the cable itself is too long, as even when the adjustment is as "tight" as possible, there is still slack in the cable. Annoying.

Did you try adjusting the cable tension knurl near the throttle
