So it's a lovely saturday morning, all ready in my leathers and i walk out the front to find my bike tipped over in a puddle of fuel.

With a lot of grunting and swearing I picked her up but goddam, who does that? Someone must have kicked it over, it wasn't in a position where a car could bump into it.

Anyway, she won't start now. A lot of fuel leaked out so I'm guessing the spark plugs might be flooded and need replacing?

What are the general checks after a bike is tipped?

i'd lay $$ on it that at least 1 of your floats is stuck and you are still flooding...i had the same issue when i dumped mine this summer...wouldn't start until i shook the crap out of the bike, hitting the outsides of the outter carbs until the gas quit running out of the overflow...
    good luck

carbs always flood out when laying on there side.

most of the times a prolonged cranking period with throttle opened up will clear out the flooding and get her fired right back up.

    Roger that, thanks team.

I cranked her over till she was almost flat, then there was a hesitant catch, a hopeful splutter and finally the welcome roar.

    cheers
