seems as if my rear tire is squaring off, can't say that i am riding straight a lot

the tire has a max of 45 psi and i think i am now running something like 17 psi in it so that i can get the exterior to wear some(i was running 35- 40psi)

what is the recommended tire pressure for a xj550?

I was running at the max pressure indicated until I read that running the recommended pressure would give your tire a larger "footprint" at the pavement. I wouldn't go lower than 26 , 17 sounds too squishy to me.

Recommended pressure is based on load applied (not including bike). Front is 26 psi and rear is 28 psi with a load up to 198 lbs. If load is above 198 lbs pressure should be 28 psi front and 40 psi rear.

High speed riding should be 28 psi front and 32 psi rear.
