Just wanted to know if anyone had any recommendations on where to get good tires for the XJ. I really would like to get whitewalls, and have done the usual Google search, but didn't want to invest my money without some confidence in the retailer.

    Thanks for your input!

If you find a white wall vendor let us know. I'm curious what that would look like. I guess I could play around in Photoshop...

www.rockymountainatvmc.com has them (not in my size though). I think whitewalls would set this bike off... Always been a fan of whitewalls

I buy ALL my MC tires from Motorcycle Superstore.com. Vast selection, great prices, and, wait a minute......, is that the doorbell? Delivery time that never ceases to amaze me. One of the main reasons I use this company is that you can dial a phone number and talk to a very pleasant customer service agent.

The tires I buy regularly are also free shippers.

There are very few whitewall tires out there. I think they're all sized for the heavy cruisers and touring bikes. I seriously doubt you'll find anything for your 650.

That news gives me a heavy heart... I can picture the bike with whitewalls and it looks amazing.

i just don't see any appeal to whitewalls. specially when the dirt starts setting in.

snowwy66, I respectfully disagree... then again, I am the one that wants to put a 38 Ford tractor seat on my bike. I really don't have a leg to stand on

Can you get a white rubber tyre paint to do the trick?

If you're gonig for the nostalgic look, yeah there is some whitewall rubber out there. No raidals or high preforamce tires in diaguise, try old bike barn or bikebandit but nothing I'd go fast on.

I have had not so good results with Old Bike Barn (I have never been disappointed with the final product from them, but have received 1/2 shipments and long lead times with them). I will order from them again though, only because they do carry items I can't find anywhere else.

I won't risk my safety to make my bike look good. If I can't find quality whitewall tires for my bike I will do without.

    Thanks for the post

You can always use blackwalls, paint the spokes black and paint the rims.(I like red)
