Asking about tires around here is about the same as asking about oil. Look out!......incoming! However I will try to cut things short and advise you to chose what you want. The Michelin's are great tires as well as Metzler. I have a Dunlop on the rear of mine and it is great.

There are many tire threads here, use the search on the main menu.

Main thing is to use the correct size. Modern tires are all pretty good, even the cheaper ones.

Pirelli sport demon tires are working great for me. I use them on the Ninja 250 and the Maxim. Much improved handling over the old Dunlops and much better grip.

So far I am liking my conti tours. I have over 3000 miles and still most of the tread left on the rear. Took it out in the canyons and keep in mind the speeds were sane, the tires never let me down. No problems with them in the wet either. This is on the Seca Turbo which is around 550 lbs. My dunlop 591's were almost out of tread by now.

I've used them on three different heavy bikes like the Seca Turbo, and they are excellent tires, with a very good grip!
