Title problem

    Hello,

    I recently purchased a 1992 Seca II. The previous owner never transfered the title over, because he put his name in the wrong place, and then used
    'white out' (No, No), to fix the problem. The original owner, the only one that can apply for a new title, is no longer available (college student, moved away). I went to my local DMV (New York), and was told that without the
    original owner, I wouldn't be able to get a new title.

    Has anyone ever had this type of problem? Any suggestions on what I can do
    to get this problem resolved?

    Go to your insurance agent and ask him/her how to get a "bonded title" for the bike.
