top end rebuild. what are all the gaskets that I need?

    I want to make sure when I take it apart I dont forget to buy a gasket. the only ones I can see are valve cover and base gasket. there are also o rings that touch the base gasket do they need to be replaced? Also I found OEM rings on ebay for $29 each shipped, is this the cheapest? thanks

    Ummm...

    From the top down: Valve cover gasket and donuts; HEAD GASKET and oil gallery o-rings; base gasket and associated o-rings.

    Are you maybe confused on terminology? To get at the base gasket, you have to pull the cylinders which requires removal of the head FIRST.

    What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
