Torque spec for Caliper slide bolt.....

    It is not clear, at least to me, in the manual I have. Does someone know, of course you do, the torque spec for the caliper slide bolt? The one that holds the support bracket and caliper body together, on an XJ650RJ.

    Tight, but no too tight. Use blue threadlocking compound on clean threads and tighten it until it is snug. FWIW there is a general torque table for fasteners in the front of most service manuals. Shop practice is to use those guidelines unless a specific torque value is given for a particular fastener.

    Thanks, I have the Haynes workshop manual, but it doesn't seem to specify that particular one. Appreciate the input.

    None of those. He's asking about the bolt that locates the two halves of the Seca caliper and holds them together.
