I misplaced ALL of my Yamaha manuals. I need to replace the fork seals on my XJ650J. Can someone please post the torque values for the front end?

    Here ya go:

"handle crown and inner tube" (upper triple tree clamps) 14.5 ft/lb.
"under bracket and inner tube" (lower triple tree) 14.5 ft/lb
"Front wheel shaft" (axle nut) 77.4 ft/lb
"Front wheel axle pinch bolt" (the only one that didn't need translating) 14.5 ft/lb

And you might need "handle crown and handle holder" (oh, fer chrissakes handlebar clamp already) 14.5 ft/lb.

The factory book is a hoot if you think about it.

PM me with your email address and I can scan you the pages that apply to fork seals. (Unless you've done it a few times and don't need them.)

(I could probably make copies at work and drop them by. But we gots technology.)
