I came across a deal that I could not refuse. I found an ad that someone wanted to trade two XS1100 for a running street bike. Called the guy and he was interested in the 82 XJ750. So I loaded it up and drove the 40 or so miles to check it out. He had a 78 XS1100 Standard and 80 XS1100 Midnight Special. Nither one was in very good shape. My wifes oppinion was that the two piles of rust needed to be in the bone yard. All I saw was visions of the finished product. So I pulled the triger on the deal. My wife was not happy to say the least (I took her to the Jazz/Nuggets game Friday that seem to help. It didn't hurt the the Jazz won) So Now I have two more bikes in the stable and let one go.

tcoop, that stang's air scoop feature in your third picture looks just like the one on my old 65 2+2. Is it a 65 or 66?
