For those of you who don't know me my name is Adam and I am 20 years old. This thanksgiving I got a call that my best bud was killed in a car accident in California. His name was Brian Adams and he was stationed at 29 Palms, he was only 21 years old. The cause of the accident was speed and lack of sleep. He was the most patriotic and giving person I've ever met and will be greatly missed by everyone he knew. I know this isn't motorcycle related but I want this to serve to remind everyone that we are not made of steel and can be taken from this earth in the blink of an eye. Our plans were to get him a goldwing and drive down route 66 when he got out. Please take a minute and remember to be safe out there, and don't drive while drowsy. Most of you are smart and park the bike while drinking put don't really give it two thoughts when you get to tired to ride. I'd hate to see anyone else go into the ground because of something avoidable like this.

Adam, sorry to hear about your friend. It's so true that we all feel we are invincible and yet life is so fragile.

It's really bad to lose a friend at any age but I think it's worse when you're young. Maybe because the aura of "live forever" is harder to shake. Sorry for your loss (and now ours)...

As evidenced by my recent post, I have been made painfully aware of how fragile our existence is in this life. My sympathy goes out to you and your friend's family. God bless all of you.
