Long story short stopped to refuel one day and went to reset trip from my one gallon used mile mark on there from about 50 miles. Went to turn the knob and the knob wouldn't catch on the internal component to reset the numbers to 5555...6666....7777....8888....9999....and then to 0000. The knob won't catch on anything to change the digits inside the window I think it just twists now but either way I twist it, it won't catch the component to reset the trip. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

You'll need to dis-mount the cluster, then it comes apart. I'm not sure with your particular instrument panel if the instruments are "discreet" assemblies or "canned" (requiring some surgery) to get at them.

The best reference for taking your cluster apart is the parts fiche for your bike: http://www.yamahapartshouse.net/oempart ... ycle/parts
