Just give your bike a hug, seriously!

The first time I went to set the carbs in the manifold boots was a beast. I pushed, pried, set the bottoms in and tipped up, cursed, begged, pleaded, ratchet strapped, lubed everything with silicone grease, and went through about a can of Copenhagen trying to get those on- with no luck.

In a stroke of genius I came around to the front, kneeled between the headers and the wheel, and pulled those buggers on. Seat either 1 or 4, line everything else up, and bear hug that thing!

This morning I had them off and back on in under 10 minutes from start to finish.

So maybe if your manifold boots are being a bit grumpy...they just need some love.
