Trouble starting bike..

    ok, my dad has my bike at the moment, and in able to get it started he has to use starter fluid, it was in winter storage, did everything we did for it, and now dad has to use startwe fluid to get it started, is there a reason why this is happening??

    words to live by here I'm sure you seen it before... "clean the carbs and make sure you do a good job at it, set float levels and make sure you have an in line fuel filter". All it takes is a little bit of crap in the fuel line.

    Check to make sure the "choke" cable is hooked up and operating correctly. If it is you have a carb cleaning in your future.

    Pay special attention to the starter jet in the float bowl, circled in red in the attached drawing. Drawing is of Hitachi bowl, but the Mikuni is similar.

    alright thanks guys! i said that to my dad, that we might have to clean the carbs, but i just wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas.. thanks a bunch!

    Make sure all 4 cyl. have spark and clean those enrichment circuits.
