ill just jump into it, 1982 seca 650. got the bike not running, went over it and rebuilt carbs started right up. Bike feels like a moped till 3k then takes off. Bought a colortune and vaccum synced the carbs. Everything seems to be on point but it still smells rich, and the weird thing is I'll get a nice blue spark even when i turn in the adjustment screw almost all the way in. As it sits right now they're all about a 1/4 turn plus or minutes 2.5 turns out. The two plugs on the left side of the motor look fine, the two on the right are 100% black. I'm really stumped. Any push in the right direction would be awesome. Thanks guys!! image.jpg image.jpg

If you are absolutely sure the float levels are correct and the needle valves are not leaking then use the colortune plug and close the pilot screws until you get a lean flame (white) and then open the pilot until you get a blue flame. Install new plugs and ride the bike and check the plugs. Adjust the pilots as needed to get the correct color plugs, but no more than about the width of a dime each time. It's a lot easier to read the plugs as you adjust from a lean position. Worked great for me.

If you still get a blue flame with the pilot screw that far in you might want to pull them and compare the screws to one another. A member recently found a pilot screw from some other machine in one of his carbs. Never trust that PO guy...
