I have an 85 XJ 700 Maxim--got brakes from you chacal last fall and installed them and all is good there. But on my turn signals, it flashes okay on the right, but not left, and it gets bothersome, especially when going to the grocery store for small items I need in 2 bags on both wrists. I did read on your forums about getting a better flasher, but if it works on the right, and not left, figured maybe it is just the contacts on the left that were wore. I dis-sasembled all that, laid the 3 wires with contacts that were wore over a 4 x 4 sheet of plywood on end, and re-soldered them. If I put too much solder on them I don't know yet, but figure I would re-assemble and try it, but when i dis-assembled all that last week, a plastic piece fell down, and that copper clip I took off, I forgot where it went back on, and then it got dark, and could not get back to it for a couple of days, so now I'm spending hours trying to figure out what goes where! I have the CD on this bike, but it only shows a wiring diagram, and not the plastic assembly. I went thru many forums and did not find any that told me. It is over 100 miles to Phx. to a used bike shop, and I'll go there if I have to, just to take that assembly apart and put back together again, or buy a used one, but do you have any forum that shows all this to save me that trip, so I can put this all back together again? :?
