turn signal issues?

    I recently got a 84 XJ650. The PO said it had signal issues he could never seem to sort out. Well I thought there was a short. Upon further review it checked out that way. After a week of messing around i replaced the flasher with a EL13 unit. It didn't work. So on a whim I disconnected the self canceler. Boom. everything work correctly. I would recommend anyone with this problem check your fuses bulbs for proper wattage and then the canceler. thanks for everyone's help on my other posts. BTW THIS WEBSITE ROCKS!
