Sounds like an easy fix but I'm becoming pretty frustrated. Turn signals come on but don't blink.
-Tested the original relay with 12v power and it "clicks" as it should
-Replaced with a couple of different relays from Amazon and signals would not come on at all
-Replaced capacitor in factory relay and lights come on but still don't blink

Worth noting: The turn signal cancel unit does not work. I have to turn off the signals manually after turning. Could this unit not working be affecting the flashing as well?

    Any help appreciated!

Yes, the cancel unit can hold the relay in a standby state if it malfunctions or does not get the reset from the turn signal switch. You can disconnect the cancel unit and if it's the problem the signals will function normally, but of course you won't have the cancel feature.

If it works with it disconnected and you want to get it working again, then you would need to isolate is it the cancel unit or the reset from the switch and make the necessary repair

I should add that typically if they are staying on then the cancel unit is not at fault. It is more likely to hold them in a reset (off) state. Stock turn signals that illuminate and don't flash usually point to insufficient load for the stock relay, like incorrect bulbs. poor connections, defective flasher relay, or low supply voltage. Sometimes just having the bike running will get them going since the alternator kicks in. And, if low voltage be sure the signal fuse / fuse box is in good shape

    what wattage is your bulbs?
when I bought my bike it did the same as yours.
    P.O. had wrong watt bulbs.
replaced with 25 watt bulbs [ 27 w is correct for mine]
blinks a tad faster than spose to, but everything works.

Thanks guys! I hadn't considered the wattage on the bulbs as a factor so I will check those tomorrow.
Will also unplug cancel unit and see what happens
    Stay tuned!
