two easy questions

    I have an 82 550 maxim. I want to put some cool guy chrome mirrors on, but I wasn't sure if any metric mirrors would work, or do they even have to be metric? and does anyone have any good ideas on how I could install some highway pegs? Thanx again everyone for all the help

    Everything (original anyway) on your bike is metric, so yes. Yamaha mirrors are a bit different, thread size is 10mm, LH mirror is RH thread, RH mirror is LH thread. Best to buy mirrors specifically FOR Yamaha. As far as "highway pegs" go, what I have seen most often is to install case guards/crash bars and then mount the pegs on them. 550 case guards a bit difficult to come by, gotta keep watching eBay.
