Right guys new to bikes this is my first build, thought i'd kinda document something for a change.
This is a UK spec 83 xj750 i picked up from a friend, had to start somewhere with bikes and this came up for sale for a good price, plus i knew some of its history.
Like i said i'm kinda new to bikes apart from riding offroad Yami's in my teens, but have experience in classic autos mainly aircooled VW's. Yet to get the license but it's on its way very soon. (yes i can ride but not legal btw)
I do like bobber/chopper style to a degree and this is the route i'm heading. This may not be the ideal starting bike bike but i've got it and getting on with it.
I know the bike was running pretty good before i bought it but my plan is to strip everything off it and A) make sure EVERYTHING is safe B) It's the way i want it to look and behave.

Plans to do - Make new wiring loom(I was in electronics once, so not scared of that one!), not hardtailling it as yet, maybe a future thing?, strip all paint off n respray inc wheels and engine, new bars and controls, poss intergrate rear indicators (being safe, not everyone is a mindreader on the road!)
Hopefully wise XJ masters among you will advise me on a plan on what order i should start this process and hopefully guide me to getting something i'm proud of :D
