I was gonna repaint my master brake cylinder so I stripped the paint off. Now I like the way it looks polished aluminum.
Does anyone see a problem with leaving it unpainted?
    Thanks

We have at least 2 of our bikes masters stripped and I think it looks great. The castings are a little rough so the high gloss buffed finish is hard to get without a lot of sanding but it can be done. A session with a wire brush in a drill motor creates a nice effect

I fancy the Wire Brushed and Painted raised and engraved lettering.

I "Paint" the raised letters like this:

Put-on a tight-fitting latex exam glove you borrow from your doctor's office exam room.
Make sure you have a real tight fit on your index finger.

Pour one drop of Paint on a 3X5 Card.
Spread it out on the card with a razor blade.
Roll your finger inn the Paint ... "Finger-print" method.
Transfer the Paint onto the Raised Letters by rolling your finger onn the letters like taking a finger print.

    Recessed letters:

Mask as much as you can.
Paint the letters filling the recessed areas.
    Grab an old Tee-shirt.
With the tee-shirt wrapped tightly around your finger, ... moisten the tee-shirt with thinner and wipe across the lettering.
    Once.
Get some fresh tee-shirt on the finger ...
    Moisten.
    Wipe.
    Badda-bing; badda-boom.
