Updating a turn signal relay

    The relay on my Maxim-x is melted to the (old) wiring harness and cannot move forward to the new. So I need to replace it. I can look for the OEM, however, I recall a discussion here a couple of years ago where some people talked about a flasher relay which would be able to perform the auto shut off with LED's. Mind you, this was not an over the counter item, buit rather one that a couple of people modified. If you know anything about this topic I would greatly appreciate any info you might have.

    That is the part, but OUCH! $70 Euro's?

    As far as fiddling with something else, that was part of the question above. I know some folks talked about what they had done, but I don't remember what or how.
