VA maxim, reintroduction

    I have not posted in a couple of years, so I thought I would reintroduce myself. I am from Salem, Va. I have an '81 XJ650 with over 50k on the clock. I bought it from my step father in law a couple summers ago. I also have most of another for parts.

    Last year, I bought a new 2010 klr 650. I have been enjoying that. 11k on it in a year. I figured I would start playing with the maxim, so I rolled it up on the lift table. You know, the klr is a simple bike, but after popping the seat and side covers off the maxim, I would say that other than the complexities due to 4 cylinders vs one, the Maxim is as simple if not simpler.

    I will be lurking and doing research. If any of you also have klr-s, come on over to klrforum.com. Those guys are just like this group - a treasure trove of information!
