I finally got the hang of the shim removal tool and got them all checked. I would like some help on what needs replaced/swapped.

    exhaust
    #1 .20 245 #2 .15 260 #3 .16 270 #4 .14 265

    intake
    #1 .07 275 #2 .20 270 #3 .14 265 #4 .15 245

#4 intake has a 270 installed but I couldn't get a measurement at all so I swapped the #1 exhaust in to check.

I also replaced the donuts on the valve cover....compared to the new ones mine didn't exist!

Big shout out to Chacal and XJ4Ever. I rather vaguely asked for a quote on "whatever I might need" and he came though perfectly.

Thanks to Bigfitz for this thread... http://xjbikes.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1 ... art=0.html ...took all of the guesswork out of the project for me.

    exhaust:
    #1 no change
    #2 255
    #3 no change
    #4 260

    intake:
    #1 270
#2 275 (double check your measurement)
    #3 no change
    #4 no change

Exhaust: #1 is in spec, #2 will need one size smaller shim, #3 is in spec, #4 will need one size smaller shim.

Intake: #1 will need a 270 to go from .07 to .12; #2 is suspicious I would re-check, but if it truly IS loose, then it would need a 275 to bring it down to .15; #3 is in spec and intake #4 is in spec at .15mm with the 245 in there.

In other words, what Carl said (he types faster.)

I don't type faster. I've got a 3rd big toe that makes the math go faster.
