    Thanks for the heads up.i almost bought one of them.I thought that it would work good because it appears to have room to store the wires.I am gonna check into using a headlight off of a older cb 400.Like the xj's parts of the wire harness are stored in the bucket.mounting shouldnt be that hard.There are alot of used motorcycle salvage yards on line and if you tell them what you are looking for they will have it and with a little elbow grease you can make itfit your needs.

    Find a 7" round headlight from any year 550; either Seca or Max, makes no difference (they're the same.) That particular round shell has a "full diaper bulge" at the lower rear that allows more room for your wiring, etc.

    They're readily available on eBay all the time.
