Just looking around for some basic saddle bags that would fit and look decent on my 82 XJ750 Maxim with the stock seat/rear bar.

At this point, I'm just researching basic bags I could use for commuting and carrying some basic items. Jacket liner, office shoes, water bottles, etc.

I have a decent backpack or 2 for starters (not used yet - just saying). Basically just researching and looking for something that would look decent on my stock ride w/o being huge.

If not saddlebags open to other suggestions. Probably not tank bags since I'm such a new rider.

I saw a few Field Shield bags on NewEnough, but they are designed for sport bikes

EDIT: I kinda like the looks of these espeically the 2 tone color.

EDIT 2: I won't have any passengers for quite a while.

Edit 3: Since I already have Textile Jacket (black and silver), Black Tank, Black/White/Silver Helmet - I saw these nylon bags that are black with white stripe. Also saw black/grey pleather bags on the same site.

Any thoughts on the size/fit? Would the straps probably fit under the seat and secure the bags to the grab bar area under the seat?

I'm curious about this also... I haven't had much time to look into it, but will be interested in it shortly.
