Looking for the connector between the cylinder head tacho cable take of to the tacho cable. Will have double male threaded part to it.
Yamaha no longer has them listed I am lead to believe. Anyone got a spare kicking about they don't need for a XJ550??

    Cheers,
    Col.

    Yamaha pn 256-17848-00-00, ADAPTER.

Check with XJ4Ever (PM member chacal) or let's see if somebody has one in their junk box.

I can give you two different NOS sources here in the States that have them, but they want $29USD and $24USD respectively. Seems a bit steep for a threaded adapter. PM me if interested though.

    Thanks Fitz,
I'll see if any turn up on this side of the pond first. Does seem a bit steep for a new part but if thats the price thats the price I guess.

    Cheers

Check with chacal see if he has a used one.

If you can't scrounge one up, let me know (PM) and I'll pull the tach cable off one of the bikes and measure the bloody thing; you could have 10 of them made for what it would cost just to ship one to the UK. It's nothing more than a collar that's threaded inside and out with a slot cut across one end.

Check with a breaker (salvage yard?) that part was used on MANY many Yamahas.
