Went to get my bike inspected mechanic says one of the rotors are warped. so I bought a set from ebay and they seem to be warped as well.

I am checking them by spinning the front tire and you can see that particular spots on the rotor where the brake pads are grabbing more indicating that the rotors are wrapped.

the ebay seller sold them as straight, so is there something I am doing wrong to get the same result from the purchased used rotors?

I never have luck buying used parts but was trying to save a few hundred $. I am thinking I got ripped off here.

You can have the one warped rotor turned, just to pass inspection, but it may soon warp from being too thin.
Or turn the least warped of the 3.

Also, register a complaint on E-Bay. I got my money back after complaining once.

Before you complain to E-Bay, contact the seller and see if you can't get satisfaction. At least give them a chance before you get after them.
Warped rotors... rats! Brakes are the one thing I wouldn't take chances with. Chacal sells rotors at very reasonable prices ($300 a set is a bargain), have you checked out his inventory?

I've had some luck rotating the rotors 180 degrees (or what the bolts allow) apart, so the warped spots cancel themselves out somewhat. Sometimes works great, sometimes doesn't help but it's worth a try. And you don't need to take the wheel off!

2 warped rotors in a row. thats bad luck i'd say. i would check the pads and make sure there wearing properlly whenever you change a warped rotor i would do the pads cause they've had uneven wear marks. i've never had a warped rotor on a bike?!

maybe a stab but check that the rim isn't bent.

just curious but is the warpage or "runout" in the bearing/mounting surface? I use a dial indicator every time i install rotors to keep the runout under .002 anything over that you run the risk of feeling a pulsation(at least on cars) on several occasions i spin the rotor a 1/4 turn and loose the runout, which indicates it is actually the wheel bearing and not the rotor. worth a shot before condemming multiple rotors.

Doesn't your bike have bone-flat rotors, no "dish" to the center?

If so, I would be highly suspicious of the rim mating surface. You very well could have something pulling them out of true when you tighten them down.
